Government Kickstart Scheme
Get full funding for young employees
The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched a new programme to help young people gain valuable experience and become more employable. As a result, you can now benefit from a new, fully funded employee.
What is the Kickstart scheme?
COVID-19 has left many young people (16-24) relying on universal credit. The Government’s Kickstart scheme is designed to combat this, offering 6-month job placements for young people to develop skills and experience. Placements are fully funded and include:
-
A £1,500 grant to cover training and employability support
-
Subsidised pay up to 25hrs per week at minimum wage
-
Employer national insurance
-
Pension contributions
This scheme is available through the DWP and Jobcentre to anyone who can offer more than 30 roles. If you have fewer vacancies, don’t worry. You can still apply for this fully funded scheme through Offploy, an official Government Gateway. We have already been successful in securing more than £1.3m in grant funding for employers to hire over 140 Kickstarter placements.
