Meet the Team
Offploy prides itself on being a commercially responsible social enterprise. This means that whilst we are a community interest company and our sole purpose is to support people with convictions into employment we will do this with the lowest possible impact to the public purse. Our team ensures our activities continue to be of benefit to both our candidates and society.
I live with my partner in Nottingham with two-step sons and one grandson. I have been in recruitment for over 12 years working across Industrial, Commercial, Driving and Education, prior to that worked for over 17 Years within the printing industry as an estimator and Production Manager. Outside of work I am a qualified football referee.
After working for many years within the recruitment industry, which was very transactional, and an opportunity arose in May 2018 to join Offploy. As a Community Interest Company their vision, values and ethos were a breath of fresh air (they are very different to all the companies I have previously worked for), and the fact that as a company, Offploy totally reinvested any fees into the social side of the business. This was of great interest and appeal to me, as rather than being a transactional business it is genuinely a people focused business, focused on making a positive impact to society, through giving help and support to ex-offenders to gain sustainable employment, not only making a life changing impact to those individuals and their families but also the positive impact this has for the wider community as a whole. As a company, although split into two divisions, it has a family feel to it, with everyone helping and supporting each other wherever possible. No longer do I wake up dreading the day ahead, but excited to know that every placement made will have a life changing effect on one person's life and you genuinely feel good about yourself and what you do.
