Meet the Team
Offploy prides itself on being a commercially responsible social enterprise. This means that whilst we are a community interest company and our sole purpose is to support people with convictions into employment we will do this with the lowest possible impact to the public purse. Our team ensures our activities continue to be of benefit to both our candidates and society.

Tim
Social Policy and Research Officer
I am currently in the second year of a Criminology PhD at the University of Huddersfield, studying victim judgements of crime seriousness. I am also involved in student engagement within the department. Outside of this, I play guitar and piano and follow super Leeds United.
I am responsible for research and data collection for Offploy, ensuring all data is gathered safely and responsibly. This includes training peer mentors in data collection methods, running statistical analyses and producing research aims and objectives for the company.
I began my time with Offploy as a volunteer researcher, helping on a project to look at the best approach to peer-mentoring ex-offenders. By the end of this, I had conversations with Offploy where I expressed a desire to take over the research side of the business - little did I know, this side of the business didn't actually exist. Come September 2017 and I was appointed Social Policy and Research Officer, being given complete freedom to sculpt Offploy's data collection processes into the most ethically sound, forward thinking processes possible. This remains my objective to this day, and will continue to be until I pass the baton to my successor.
