Offploy is proud to launch an exclusive masterclass series for senior leaders from large UK employers, hosted within the remarkable setting of The Clink Restaurant, inside HMP Brixton. This powerful event combines fine dining, thought leadership, and real-life lived experience to challenge perceptions and promote inclusive hiring practices for individuals with criminal convictions.

A seven-course fine dining taster menu prepared and served by prisoners training in hospitality, offering an unforgettable insight into rehabilitation through employment.

​Mobile phones must be left in secure storage upon arrival due to the prison setting.

Jacob Hill, ex-prisoner and Founder of Offploy, will facilitate the session. Jacob brings a unique blend of lived experience, HR expertise, and insight into the business case for inclusive hiring. His leadership has supported over 4,000 individuals into work and helped dozens of employers adopt inclusive policies, with Offploy generating over £12 million in social value in 2024 alone.

  • Organisations ready to learn from both pioneers in inclusive hiring and those just beginning their journey.

What are the intended outcomes?

By the end of the session, attendees will:
 

  • Understand the implications of inclusive hiring on social value reporting and ESG frameworks

  • Gain practical insights into policy, risk, and support pathways.

  • Leave inspired by real stories and equipped with resources to take action within their organisations.

Who will prepare the meal?

The delicious, high-quality meals at The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton are cooked and served by the students in training who are working towards gaining their City & Guilds NVQs in Food & Beverage Service, Professional Cookery and Food Hygiene.

Arrival and Security

As the restaurant is located within a Category-C prison, security checks must be completed on all visitors. You you may be subject to a search before entering the prison. Expect airport-style security on arrival. Ensure you are dressed appropriately. Dress Code guidelines can be found here​.

 

All diners are required to bring an original driving license or passport as photo ID.

 

Do not attend if you are feeling unwell.​

Please arrive before 10:45am. This will give you time to lock away personal belongings and be given a security briefing.

The Clink recommends all guests read their Guidelines and Procedures here which includes a list of items that are prohibited including handbags, mobile phones and cigarettes.​

Please note that The Clink is an alcohol-free restaurant.

Transport and Parking

Public Transport

  • Bus: The following buses pass the prison: Number 45, 59, 109, 118, 133, 159 and 250. Alight from the bus at Jebb Avenue. All buses also stop outside Brixton Underground Station.

  • Train: The nearest mainline station is Brixton. You can take any of the above buses to complete the journey.

  • Underground: Brixton (on the Victoria line) is the nearest tube station. You can take any of the above buses to complete the journey.

By Car

  • The restaurant is situated 1 mile south of Brixton on the A23, off Brixton Hill

  • Apart from very limited disabled parking, which must be pre-booked by contacting The Clink, there is no parking available at the prison. There is limited on-street parking nearby.
