Offploy Justice Personnel strengthen links with Guidant Global

We were delighted to recently announce some good news for Offploy Justice Personnel, an organisation that recruits staff into the criminal justice sector and reinvests the surplus into reducing reoffending.

The good news keeps on coming. Offploy has long had a positive and fruitful relationship with Guidant Global, a talent management specialist whose work sees them delivering a whole host of recruitment services to companies and organisations across all sectors of the economy.

It was an honour to work with and support Guidant Global on a project recently that saw them “Ban the Box”. As a Ban the Box employer, an organisation does not ask candidates whether they have any unspent criminal convictions at the application stage and so cannot discriminate against candidates with offending histories. Instead, candidates may be asked later in the recruitment process, such as at the interview stage, considering the candidate’s character over their (criminal) conviction.

We have today reached an agreement with Guidant Global which will see us become an official supply chain partner on their Nacro account. Nacro are a social justice charity, who change lives by designing and delivering services to equip people with skills, advice and support to move on. Their works sees them support, house, educate, advise and speak out for and with disadvantaged young people and adults.

Each time Offploy, through Guidant Global, provides a member of staff to Nacro, the surplus generated through this role will be used to support the work of our foundation which is committed to reducing reoffending by placing people with criminal convictions into meaningful, mentored and sustainable employment.

Commenting on the news, Richard Strauss, Offploy’s Strategic Development Lead said;

“ We are thrilled that Offploy Justice Personnel has been welcomed into its supply chain by Guidant Global, a company who we know well and who are so passionate about breaking down barriers to employment for all socially disadvantaged groups.”

“The revenue generated by Offploy Justice Personnel has a direct social impact. It strengthens the work we undertake in the community, turning a recruitment budget into a resettlement budget and makes a real difference to our candidates with criminal convictions as they look to turn their lives around.”

On behalf of Guidant Global, Alex Fraser, Senior Recruitment Business Partner, commented;

“We are delighted to introduce Offploy to the Nacro account, a long standing customer of Guidant Global’s whose values perfectly align with the work that Offploy do in the community. We are looking forward to seeing how the relationship develops and the positive impact that this will have in our service delivery and in turn, strengthen the fantastic work that Offploy do to benefit disadvantaged communities.”

Offploy Justice Personnel is keen to support more employers in the voluntary and criminal justice sector to recruit more people into roles reinvesting the fees into helping people with criminal convictions secure meaningful, mentored and sustainable employment. This comes off the back of Offploy Justice Personnel’s game-changing funding from the Postcode Innovation Trust.
