About this event

Join us for a transformative 3-hour workshop, an extension of our popular 45-minute webinar, designed specifically for Support Workers, Employment Advisors, and Work Coaches in the United Kingdom.

This in-deptha session will equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively assist individuals with criminal convictions, enhancing your professional capacity and the lives of those you support.

Gain valuable insights into identifying individuals with convictions and approaches to foster trust and openness. With legislative changes affecting a broader group, it's imperative to understand the nuances involved in these interactions.

  3. Practical Support Strategies:
Discover hands-on techniques to assist individuals in overcoming barriers related to their convictions, focusing on reintegration into society and employment. We'll cover topics like writing disclosure letters, understanding the nuances of spent offences, and additional support resources.

  4. Effective Advocacy and Collaboration:
Learn how to liaise effectively with external agencies and employers, emphasizing the importance of disclosure and advocacy. We'll guide you through identifying employer attitudes towards hiring individuals with convictions and navigating the conversation around convictions in various settings.
