Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be over 18
Not have current untreated addiction issues
Have some form of accommodation (even sofa surfing is OK but not street homeless)
Not have a terrorism or arson conviction
SOs WILL be considered on a case by case basis
The Application Process
6-week XO Bikes courses for 8 participants leading to a "Velotech" award at Gold, Silver or Bronze level. Candidates have to show up 4 days a week 9:30-4:30 (Mo, Tu, Th and Fr). Weds is left free to do probation or other appointments. At the end of the course participants sometimes come back to volunteer with the charity and occasionally there are paid roles they may be considered for.
They currently recruit directly from prisons and from other sector partners and would be interested in Offploy referring in suitable candidates.
