Creating an account on Indeed (Job Board)

Task: Please can you create an online account for Indeed and register for job alerts in your local area. This task will allow you to be ready to apply for any relevant job opportunities that suit your skills and experience quickly.

Below we have outlined a step by step guide along with relevant screenshots on how to complete your task. However, if you need any further support please contact where he will be more than happy to help.

Step 1 – Using your mobile phone, computer or tablet please access indeed job site with the following link:

Step 2 - Click on the ‘Upload your CV’ button (as seen in the image below) and then attach your current CV to the jobs board; this will then complete your online registration.

Step 3 - Once your registration is completed you will be taken back to the home screen where you can search for job and set up job alerts. In the first instance you will be asked for what type of work you are looking for and your location base. Below, I have outlined an example of a search for a Warehouse Operative in the Hull area to demonstrate the process.

Step 4 – Finally once you have inputted the relevant information in ‘what and where’ section on the home screen, click ‘Find jobs’, to start your job search.

Our recommendations are that for every job search you do you, save it and ask Indeed for email update alerts to keep you ahead of the job market. To set these alerts up you just need to input your current email and click ‘Send me new jobs’ as detailed below:

Your Social Employment advisor will give you a timeframe to complete this task, however the quicker it is done, the better. Once this task is completed, please either send Glenn a text or email to tell him you have created the account, and then we can let you know about next steps.
