The R3 Certificate in Reintegration and Reducing Reoffending

Over recent months, we’ve seen a big uptake in sign-ups for the R3 Certificate as hundreds of frontline advisers, employability specialists, and justice professionals recognise the importance of high-quality, accredited training in disclosure and reintegration. From probation practitioners to housing officers and education staff, the appetite for structured, CPD-certified learning has exceeded expectations.

The feedback has been clear: people value practical, evidence-based tools that help them support clients into employment and reduce reoffending with confidence.

Migrating to a New Platform

To build on this success, we are now migrating the R3 Certificate from its existing platform to a new SCORM-compatible learning environment. This will allow major early adopters—large organisations with their own Learning Management Systems—to embed the R3 Certificate directly into their in-house training offer.

This is a huge step forward. It means that hundreds more practitioners will be able to access the training seamlessly within their organisations, making it part of standard practice rather than an optional add-on. It also sets the R3 Certificate up for further growth across the UK.

Why It Matters

Education and training are critical to reducing reoffending, but so is ensuring the professionals who guide people with convictions have the skills and confidence they need. The R3 Certificate equips advisers to handle sensitive disclosures, assess risk fairly, and signpost people to sustainable opportunities. In turn, this helps build a culture of inclusion across the justice and employment sectors.

Join the Movement

The R3 Certificate is more than a training course—it’s becoming a shared standard for professionals across multiple sectors. With CPD accreditation already secured, and the SCORM upgrade opening new doors, the programme is set to reach thousands more in the year ahead.

Employing Veterans’ With Convictions Event – 9 September

We had a fantastic online event focusing on veterans in the criminal justice system and the businesses that welcome them, run in partnership with Pauline King from Yorkshire & Humber RFCA. Around 30 people from across the veteran-support sector joined us for a webinar discussing the issues that veterans in contact with the criminal justice system face. The discussions have continued after the event with several contacts made and ideas floated for future support initiatives.

What Next?

Next on our development list is expanding the calculator to include Scotland’s rehabilitation periods, making the tool fully GB-wide. We have now met with several Scotland-based criminal justice organisations but if you have knowledge of Scotland’s legal system and would like to help us develop this, just drop an email to Rik@Offploy.org
